Dividend” Membership Card

Dedmond’s Grocery – 1950s

We are not sure how this worked. Presumably, if you spent a lot of money and made a lot of trips to the the store, you’d “win” a small sum. Only your grocer knew for sure.

Dedmond Coupon (back). If you made a certain number of purchases, you were allowed to see a 4-digit number hidden beneath a secret panel, which revealed the monetary award you would receive. The highest award was $10; the lowest, forty cents.
