An old postcard

Front of postcard: Greetings from North Carolina. The interior of each letter in the state's name displays a colorful photo of one of the state's famous attractions, including Chimney Rock, Kitty Hawk, Duke Chapel, etc. To localize it, the word 'Cliffside' has been added above the state's name. The message and address side of the card: 'Hello Earl. This leaves us all well and we hope you are the same. We got your card. And was glad to hear from you. Earl have you got the money I sent yet. Let me no when you get it. Well dont worry about the kids they are all fine. And we are looking for you home soon. It is raining here again. It sure is lonesome too. We will be glad when you come home. Answer soon. Love, Jess'

A wartime postcard dated March 28, 1944 to Marine Pvt. Earl Curtis, a recruit at Parris Island, S.C., from his wife Jessie. Was she sitting at the kitchen table as she wrote “it is raining hear again it sure is lonesom to. We will be glad when you come home”?
