Sarah Evelyn Allhands. “Sister” Motto: “live today so that each yesterday will be a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.” Favorite saying: “For goodness sake!” Class president (2); Winner of Recitation medal (2); Treasurer of Public Speaking Club (4); Sophomore Play (2); Member of newspaper staff (1, 2, 4) Class Poet (4). Sarah is a studious, dependable, kind-hearted true-blue girl. Being always ready to do whatever asked, she has won the respect of both faculty and students. She likes dramatics and indeed is a good actress. In life may she be as successful as she has been in school.

BLANCHE JOSEPHINE DEVENNY. “BLANCHE”. Motto: “make every job a masterpiece”. Favorite saying: “Well, I’ll declare.” President of Class (1); Winner of Recitation Medal (3) Reporter for “The Purple Cloud” ((3); Social Editor of “”The Hi-Lights” (4); Vice –President of Public Speaking Club (4); Class Testatrix (4). The soul of Blanche is a storehouse of virtues. Her life represents the things for which all true women strive but few attain. She is kind, gentle, considerate, studious, and attempts to uphold all that is noble and good in life. Her greatest ambition is to serve those around her. She has done this in a great way at Cliffside High. With all her qualities, Blanche is sure to fill a worth-while place wherever she chooses.
