The Senior Cliff Dwellers

Joe Compton

JOE FOCH COMPTON. “Speed Demon”. Motto: “Our greatest glory is not in never failing but is rising every time we fall.” Favorite saying: O. K.” Football (1, 2, 3, 4); Basketball Captain (4); Secretary of Senior Class (4); Joe is one of the leading athletes of Cliffside High- one who will be greatly missed in the coming years. He is care-free and fun-loving. We will not question Joe’s possibilities for his ability and fight. That’s give to the world the best you have and the best will come back to you,” Favorite saying: “I must say!”. Glee cluball he needs. S

SARAH PAULINE CARPENTER. “Polly”. Favorite saying: “I must say”. Glee Club (1, 2, 3, 4); Sophomore Play (2); Debate Team (3, 4); Member of Purple Cloud Staff (1, 2, 3); Junior Play (3); Treasurer of Class (3. 4); Editor-in-Chief of “Cliffside Hi-Lights” (4) Marshall (3); President of Public Speaking Club (4); Debater (3, 4). In Polly we find the qualities of an all-round student. Faithfulness and loyalty of her Alma Mater: the love and admiration of her fellow students make her a leader in our school. It would be hard to find a more sincere girl or a truer brined. We are sure that wherever she goes, she will bring honor to those who love her.
