Virginia Guffey
Virginia Guffey. Motto: “Don’t be a crank, be a self-starter.” Virginia is an outstanding member of the Senior Class of 1940. Virginia has held several offices during her four years in high school. In the ninth grade she held the office of President of the class. She was Secretary of the Junior and Senior Class and was business manager of the school paper during her senior year. Virginia has always been outstanding in her work in school. To know Virginia is a special privilege because of her sweet disposition and her sincerity win you over completely as her friend.

J. C. Hamrick. “Jake” Motto: “Loaf and the world loafs with you: work and you work alone.” Favorite saying: “I don’t a bit more care.”Football 1937-38; Basketball 1940. J. C. is one of those persons who never worries about tomorrow. He is one of the best all round boys in the school. A finer athlete and a truer friend could not be found. Good luck to you.
