Cliffside, Dec. 7—Hello, friends. The Twin Reporters took their long delayed airplane ride Saturday afternoon. If you haven’t ever ridden in an airplane we advise you to take a ride if you ever get a chance. Cliffside is really a beautiful town to see from the air. “Aunt” Peggy Scruggs, who is over 80 years old, took an airplane ride and she said she enjoyed it very much.
As a weather reporter we seem to be good so far. Since Miss Weast, of Alexander, and Norman Fred Camp of Caroleen, have quit reporting on the weather it seems we need a Jo-Jo of some kind.
Guess we’ll have to let the people take a vote on it. So, if you see two queer looking beings pictured at the top of the Cliffside news, you will know we were elected.
To G. C. Fisher in Norfolk, Va.; We wish to say “Hello,” and Virginia says she still likes playmates.
We hope Santa won’t forget Misses Lois Price and Mabel Harrill, who are attending college at Berea, Ky.
A certain girl thinks a pair of gloves would be appropriate as a Christmas gift for Alfred Scoggins of Spindale.
It was heard said, the happiest time of the year is between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The grammar school of the Cliffside Public School will present a play “The Magic Christmas Bells,” Friday, Dec. 11. The public is cordially invited. There will be no admission fee.
Rev. H. E. Stimpson [Stimson] performed the marriage ceremony Saturday, Dec. 5, for Helen Talbert and Mr. Hubert Foster, of Concord. Mrs. Foster is the niece of Mr. John Talbert, of this town. The young couple will make their home in Concord.
Mrs. J. T. Atkinson has returned home after undergoing an appendix operation at the Mary Black Hospital. Her many friends hope for her a speedy recovery.
