From The Courier, Dec. 19, 1935

Cliffside, Dec. 16 — Master Billy Franks, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Franks, of near Cliffside is improving greatly from his illness of pneumonia.

The Alda Grayson circle of the W. M. U., of  the Cliffside Baptist church delightfully entertained the G. A’s Friday night at the home of Mrs. J. F. Atkinson. Those enjoying the occasion were: Mrs. Broadus Biggerstaff, Mrs. Martin Black, Mrs. Howard Guffey, Mrs. Wilfred Wilkie, Mrs. C. W. Keeter, Mrs. J. F. Atkinson, Misses Janie Campbell, Mary McDaniel, Ruby McDaniel, Bunia White, Mary Crow, Frances White, Hazel Cash, Eula Mae Gosey, Eula Belle Sizemore, and Leola Sizemore. After enjoying about two

hours of fun delicious refreshments were served.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Crawley and children, Margie and Margaret spent the week-end with Misses Charity and Callie Crawley.

Mrs. J. L. Sizemore is ill at this writing.

We are glad to know that Dr. G. O. Moss returned to his home Sunday after spending several weeks in the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

Misses Edna and Ruth Hopper visited Miss Martha Greene, Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Herbert Hooker and son, James spent the week-end with Mr. George Dula at Weaverville, N. C.
