Poems of Cliffside

Although old Cliffside was not the literary capital of the world—or the county, or the township—a few aspiring Cliffside poets over the years have taken pen to paper and turned out some worthy creations. Select from the names at left to read what they’ve written. Each’s work is accompanied by a brief personal profile.

Old 1920s postcard with striking tinted photo of the Cliffside Mill. The caption, from Ida Watkins' poem 'Anticipation' reads: 'For I know the satisfaction, of a willing mind in action, when you've for a steady job in Cliffside Mills.'
