In Memory of Mr. Dorus Huss

Dr. Huss
Dr. Dorus H. Huss
1914-2004

Mr. Huss, who passed away on September 10, 2004, was for many years a leader, coach and teacher in Rutherford County Schools. We know that he made a difference in the lives of many former students and athletes and had a great deal of influence on hundreds of students at both Cliffside and Chase High School. Because we want to memorialize this outstanding educator, we have established a scholarship drive for aspiring future teachers. The scholarship would be awarded to a Chase High School senior who plans to enroll in a college to pursue a degree in teaching. Our desire is to encourage a new generation of “Mr. Huss” teachers and coaches.

If you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, please send a check payable to the following address:

Attn: Mrs. Jennifer Armstrong
Chase High School
1603 Chase High Rd.
Forest City, N. C. 28043

Checks should include the notation “Mr. Huss Scholarship Fund.” For more information, contact Mrs. Armstrong.
