Cliffside Girl Highly Honored

Cliffside, March 13. — Miss Elizabeth Hendrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Hendrick of Cliffside, has been elected president of the student body of Salem College for next year, succeeding Miss Annette McNeeley of Mooresville, N. C.

Miss Hendrick is a Junior at Salem College, and is a candidate for Bachelor of Science degree. She now holds the position of house president of the Alice Clewell dormitory and is secretary of the Y.M.C.A. She is a member of the Student Government Council and has recently been honored by being elected a member of the Scorpion organization. She is also a member of the German and Psychology clubs. Miss Hendrick finished in the class of 1936 of Cliffside high school being president of her class, valedictorian of her class; was winner of the citizenship medal; was editor-in-chief of the Purple Cloud. She was a member of the debating team and represented her school as debater at Chapel Hill in her graduating year.
