Ruppe, Lynn T.

September 23, 1943

Lynn RuppeOn Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Lula Ruppe of Cliffside received a telegram from the War Department notifying her that her son Private Lynn Ruppe was killed September 23, 1943, in Italy.

Private Ruppe entered the U.S. Army on July 27, 1942 at Fort McClellan, Alabama, and went to North Africa in December of 1942. He was a member of the infantry.

Private Ruppe would have been 20 years old on November 20. (November 20, 1923-September 23, 1943) He was survived by his mother; two sisters: Mrs. Alva Green and Miss Eloise Ruppe of Cliffside; four brothers: Donnie Ruppe in North Africa; Toy Ruppe in a U.S. Army camp in Louisiana; and Charlie and Roy Ruppe of Cliffside.
