Killed In Action

Forest City Courier, November 23, 1944

Pfc. Toy Ruppe was killed in France on September 13. A son of Mrs. Lula Ruppe of Cliffside, his brother, Pvt. Lynn Ruppe, was killed in action on September 23, 1943.  This is the first instance of two brothers from the same family in Rutherford County being killed in action.
