Cliffside in World War II

Front Page

For those of us old enough to remember them, the years of World War II were the defining ones of our lives. When we speak of “prewar” or “after the war,” WWII is the war we mean.

Many of us and members of our families were called to the service. All of us—those who went, and those who stayed behind—were changed forever. The sum of our experiences made us cherish what we had, and more deeply appreciate all that was to come our way.

A row of four photos of men from the army and navy in uniform.
