James Earnest Atkinson

Looking nervous and standing stiffly, in his double-breasted suit with his hat squarely on his head, James obviously wishes he were somewhere else.

James was the son of James Edward and Louise Elizabeth Arms Atkinson. Born on January 1, 1896, he was the brother of Beulah Atkinson (see previous page). In 1910 his parents lived at 19 Riverview Street. He worked in the mill’s spinning room as a doffer.
