
Alfred M. Robison
Alfred M. Robison, born on May 13, 1830 in Rutherford County and died on December 31, 1918, was buried in High Shoals Cemetery. Likely of Scotch-Irish descent, Alfred served in the Confederate Army in the Civil War. Alfred married Elizabeth Hawkins in 1853. She was born on September 2, 1833 in Rutherford County. Elizabeth died on April 5, 1911 and is buried in High Shoals Cemetery.

Alfred and Elizabeth lived on Mooresboro road (now Hwy 120). They had a large farm and also ran a sawmill. In old records from High Shoal Baptist Church (started in 1831), there is mention of an Alfred M. Robison in the minutes of a meeting dated February, 1876. It seems likely that he and his wife were members at that time.

Luther Alfred Robison was born in 1860 and died in 1937. He married Mary Malinda Jolley.
Julia A. Robison was born in 1867. She married a Mr. Jolley, a brother to Mary Malinda, Luther’s wife.
Summie Clayton Robison was born on March 24, 1870 and died on May 13, 1934. He married Pantha Bostic. She was born on Nov. 28, 1872, and died on Dec. 7, 1948. Both are buried at High Shoals Cemetery.
M. E. Robison was born on May 2, 1874. She died May 19, 1895.
Jane Robison. No dates of birth or death are available. She married a Mr. Wall.
