Nature Winning Again

A wide view of the dam and the pond beyond. Heavy foliage and mud banks are encroaching on the the river.

Down by the old mill stream — or what’s left of it. Sam Davis drops by the Methodist Church’s overlook from time to time to see how the old mill site is changing. In the summer of 2015 he found this: the pond the width of a good-sized creek; the dam really showing its age (115); and vegetation taking over. Enjoy the view while you can.
