Old Mill Tour 11

The Old Mill

Beneath an omininus Danger! sign, we see the thick steel doors of ancient fire boxes, blackened by years of use, now cold and abandoned.
The boilers, now gas-fired, were coal fired not too long ago. Now, they’re not fired at all. G. C. Fisher worked here for years, and, in his day, coal was manually shoveled into the furnaces.
A small table with a clipboard and a few other small items.
Just in front of the boilers was this table holding a logbook in which the boiler attendent would record the reading of the guages, dials and graphs. The final entry has been made.
