Raleigh Rutherford Biggerstaff
As you enter the main library at Isothermal Community College at Spindale, look to your right and you'll see this remarkable oil portrait of Raleigh Biggerstaff. A well-known and well-respected native of Cliffside, Raleigh was a much-loved professor of English at Isothermal for many years until his death in 1993. The painting was done by R. Waters.
