Omar
Ray Harrill, Cliffside, of the U.S. Navy, was reported missing in
action. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Harrill of near Cliffside,
were notified by the Navy Department of this fact last week. Omar
entered the U.S. Navy in March of 1943. His parents received no details
of the action. (Forest City Courier, September 23,1943)
Omar
Ray Harrill (October 10,1923-August 18, 1943) was reported dead after
being classified as missing for a period of one year. He was reported
missing in August of 1943 when his ship sank. (Forest City Courier,
September 14, 1944) His memorial is in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery,
