Private Ruppe entered the U.S. Army on July 27,
1942 at Fort McClellan, Alabama, and went to North Africa in December
of 1942. He was a member of the infantry.
Private Ruppe would have been 20 years old
on November 20. (November 20, 1923-September 23, 1943) He was survived
by his mother; two sisters: Mrs. Alva Green and Miss Eloise Ruppe
of Cliffside; four brothers: Donnis Ruppe in North Africa; Toy Ruppe
in a U.S. Army camp in Louisiana; and Charlie and Roy Ruppe of Cliffside.
