#ald004 Cliffside Theater
How we would pore over those lobby cards in front of the theater! No other mode of advertising was more effective in Cliffside. The garish, hand-tinted posters would entice us to see every movie that came to town. The price was 11¢ for kids and 25¢ for adults. (This photo was shot in 1941. We know that because the current attraction, “Two Faced Woman,” starring Greta Garbo and Melvyn Douglas, was released that year.)
