Looking northwest from the fishpond, early 1930s. Mills Drug Company was the store on the left. To the right of the drugstore was the Haynes Bank, and to its right, obviously, the Cliffside Mills Department Store. Note the awning or roof over the sidewalk, visible in pictures made in previous years, has now been removed.
