In the summers a “pony photographer” (perhaps more than one) would pass through Cliffside taking pictures of our kids perched atop his docile beast. At left is Wayne Smith, son of T.C. and Juanita Davis Smith, on a pony named Dot, taken in the early 1950s. At right, astride Danny, is Sam Davis, son of Henry and Nora Byrd Davis. The year “1948” is inscribed on Danny's stirrup.
